PROFILE

Art of Praise is a Tokyo-based gospel choir founded in 2025 under the direction of Hiroki Iwasaki. Every member is an amateur singer. Together, we aim to deliver what we call “the power of one unforgettable amateur performance” by uniting our individual voices and personalities. Our activities continue to expand, from appearances at gospel events across Tokyo to recording theme music for international exchange events and supporting artists on NHK programs.
In 2026, the choir was featured on LANA’s single “STARS.”

Hiroki Iwasaki 岩崎 大貴

Since his twenties, Hiroki Iwasaki has worked as a vocal coach, training more than 3,000 singers and speakers, including well-known entertainers, major-label and independent artists, television announcers, prominent voice actors, leading musical-theatre performers, idol singers, fellow vocal coaches, and gospel directors.

In recent years, he has performed backing vocals for AK-69 and MONKEY MAJIK. His work also spans vocal coaching and appearances on TBS’s “Love It!” and a guest appearance on the YouTube channel Shira-Sta, bringing together education, media, and live performance.

Yuka Yano 矢野 優歌

In junior high school, Yuka developed her ensemble skills and musical foundation in the school wind band. During high school, she joined a performing-arts academy, where she studied singing, gospel, and dance while gaining stage experience. At university, she immersed herself in a cappella and began her professional singing career after graduation, appearing on numerous backing-vocal stages.

Today, she is an acclaimed vocal coach known for drawing out powerful belting and a natural sense of groove through physical awareness. She provides vocal coaching for television programs and leads workshops for university a cappella clubs and student groups across Japan. In 2025, she joined ARIA, a multidisciplinary voice-education team of vocal coaches, an opera singer, a voice-education researcher, an acupuncturist, a physical therapist, and a speech-language-hearing therapist.
